Decoup+ has developped a new quick, affordable and ecologic system to replace selvedges gluing on synthetic knitted fabrics
Due to fabric internal structure, knitted fabrics selvedges tend to roll up on themselves. The Decoup+ patented system enables to stop selvedges roll-up of synthetic knitted fabrics, either on circular knitting looms or on stenter frames. This system uses continuous ultrasonic welding. This technology, developped by Decoup+ many years ago, melted the selvedge fabric on a width of several millimeters, thus making it rigid. The welding system is composed of an ultrasonic horn pressed against a wheel featuring a specific pattern adapted to the fabric characteristics. The welding operation is followed by a cut, either mechanical for loom applications or ultrasonic for stenter frame applications.

Calemard’s high capacity slitter and rewinder Centaure offers at the same time a high technology and a high versatility combined with easy handling. This new machine is designed to transform different kind of wide web Nonwovens, made of PP, PES, PA or Vi, into narrow strips. Recently commisionned in the wellknown nonwovens polish producer Lentex’s Lublienec plant, the new Centaure produces compact rolls with optimised length in a given outer diameter on a wide variety of products.
